European champions Italy will face Spain in the Round of 16 in June’s Nations League final. Host country Netherlands vs. Croatia in the World Cup semi-finals.

After missing out on last year’s World Cup in Qatar for his second consecutive season, Italy beat Hungary in a group with Germany and England to reach the semi-finals of the Nations League.

Standing between Roberto Mancini’s team and the final is Spain, who beat the Azzurri 2-1 on the same stage of the 2021 competition before losing to France in the final.

Spain, who beat Portugal to clinch Group A2, are led by new head coach Luis de la Fuente after Luis Enrique’s surprise World Cup exit to Morocco.

Having lost their first Nations League final in Portugal in 2019, the Netherlands will now face Croatia in the semi-finals at home in Rotterdam’s De Hes Cuijp. Oranje is also under new leadership, with Ronald Koeman returning to the role of Louis van Gaal after losing to eventual champions Argentina in the World Cup quarter-finals.

With everything changing in Spain and Holland, the Croatian team will look familiar in his June. Tarismanic midfielder Luka Modric is committed to continuing his international career after helping his side to a bronze medal in Qatar.

The semi-finals and third-place match will be held on June 14th and 15th, and the final will be held on June 18th.
